It is in the heart of the Alentejo, in the wild enclave of the Herdade de Comporta, in Carvalhal that Barracuda has set his sights. Between land and sea, in the middle of the rice fields and the pine forests, giving this unique region with the virgin landscapes, at once Asian tunes and perfumes of Africa.
Gathered by a deep love for Portugal, both sharing a passion for the decorative arts, and in particular the arts of the earth, Alexandre Neimann, young decorator of 31 years passed by the biggest houses (Chahan Minassian, François-Joseph Graf) , and François Simon (Jars, implanted for 10 years in Portugal in various activities) unite for their project: Barracuda.
In the midst of Carvalhal, behind an immaculate blue facade redesigned by Jacques Grange and evoking the Miami Art Deco, Barracuda offers a subtle selection of twentieth century furniture and a first self-published collection of furniture and home accessories.
The style invites to travel: pure lines, simple materials; a luxury stripped to the discreet elegance indistinctly honoring the greatest designers of the past century and anonymous treasures.
Surrounded by artisans with ancestral knowledge, Alexandre had fun imagining a first capsule collection, the arts of the earth have a unique place thanks to the talent of potters (services of tables and pots), and ceramists (lamps and mirrors) , the arts of fire (lighting and seating),
The selection of accessories has no boundaries but a capital identity: the material, and the physical sensation of the hand that made the object, the imperfection as aesthetic research.
